To empower individuals and families by fostering growth, promoting positive behavior changes, and enhancing quality of life through evidence-based ABA therapy. We believe in a holistic approach that values each person’s unique strengths and challenges.
Our Story
Malena Martinez is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Clinical Director of I Rock Behavior.
She has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for over 18 years. She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University.
Malena worked for The Lovaas Center for nine years where she trained and worked alongside Erik Lovaas - son of Dr. O. Ivar Lovaas. Malena also taught for Miami-Dade County Public Schools for children with autism. Later, she joined the Lovaas Center team in Las Vegas. Malena helped establish The Lovaas Center Madrid and translated The Lovaas program into Spanish in efforts to provide services to an underserved population of children with autism in Spain. After returning to South Florida, Malena decided to try a clinic model. She joined the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Dan Marino Center, she was honored to work alongside a distinct multidisciplinary team of professionals.
Her other areas of specialty include Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and feeding desensitization.” Malena believes her journey is shaped every time she meets a new child with neurodiversity. Her commitment continues with a passionate stance and pursuit of empowerment, advocacy, and growth for those we serve.
